The Inspiration Behind The Weight of the Fall

For too many of us, life can be series of crisis that follow each other so closely they seem to be piling all together. And sometimes they are. And sometimes it’s not a series of crisis, but the repetitive plop of a single drop of tap water into a filled basin that worms its way into the brain until the plop becomes an artillery charge.

For others, life proceeds without love but not without hope. Some day a change will come. Some day I’ll know who I’m supposed to be. Some day I’ll belong.

When a single, nightmarish tragedy interrupts that spider strand of hope for a better future, the victim needs a place to rest. A place to recover. A place to believe again.

Lana finds that place with her Uncle and his life partner, Richard. And along the way, she finds that sometimes love comes when we most need it and often least expect it.

That’s one of the lessons of The Weight of the Fall.
